First, I am an enthusiast photographer with some IT skills, who was looking for a NAS product that could be used during travels to save my pictures without the use of a laptop - I do not edit on the road, and that could provide my LRC exports to the family and friends (through the app or link) without using Google photos with its free 15GB limitations.I acquired both the unit and the docking station.Overall, the product does the job. It is easy to install, relatively fast on LAN (through Ethernet or Wifi), portable and light to carry, can be used as a USB-C drive, can be accessed over the Net, is secured through ID & Password, and is expendable with a not great but decent App on both desktop and mobiles.Now, having said all this, there are some challenges and issues that took me some time to address, or that are still to be addressed or investigated.A) This is Chinese product with an unimpressive support so far. Probably some AI generated answers. Some of the web pages still have a lot of chinese language.BEWARE - The binding of your phone apps to that remote devise implies that somewhere on the net, there is a server that contains information about your setups such as IP addresses, hostnames, Ports and so forth - I am speculating here but the opposite would surprise me - the clue so far is that you need to go to their website to Unbind. For those who are privacy paranoid or maybe anti-chinese minded, that can be a serious issue. I have nothing to hide, so no a big deal for me - the value mitigates the risk. That said, someone smarter than me should probably WhiteShark these connections to figure out what exactly is going on (Hello NSA!). I may also try to microsegment it on my LAN.B) The network mapping through a WebDAV service on Win11 or Win10 Home, may not work out of the box to copy/paste or drag/drop files from your local drives to the device with File Explorer, or to just 'Save As' a file. The website Help provides some technical information (RegEdit updates) but there are not enough to make it work - this is where the support failed so far. If you have such problem, check your Windows Features List and make sure that some of the World Wide Web Services are activated such as 'Static Content, WebDAV publishing and all Security options', and Map a Network Drive instead of creating a new Network Location. That should do the trick like it did for me after 2 days of investigation. Furthermore, it does not provide FTP or SFTP services and that is a gap to me.C) You will need a CFExpress card reader with a USB-A connector to backup your pictures to the drive when on the road. It only provides a SD card reader. I have not clocked these connections but they seem to be ok. Also, you cannot RAID (0 or 1) the devise NVMe and the drive on the Dock, which means you only have 8TB max directly available at one given time.D) The App is nice but a little confusing (for a non-Tech user like my wife) or buggy in some cases - like for instance with Photos displayed through the Folders Tab option. You can backup the files on your mobile devise at any time but the selection is cumbersome at best - One at the time.Has I said earlier, this is a good product for what it is offering - ease of travel with, access and local storage. The whole binding story may be a showstopper for some who would prefer a more classic Cloud service, but there are ways to secure your LAN environment with the help of an IT network specialist if deemed necessary.The total cost may seem a little high compared to some online options for large storage, but if it occurs that the product lasts, there will be equivalences and even savings. The support is not effective at this juncture but may improve with time.Hope it all helped everyone interested.CORRECTIONS #1: the product support may have heard my call, and reached out with dialy update on the issues. This station’s pocket cloud, is excellent. The design is genius and meant to last forever. It does not come with a hard drive but it’s still worth the price. I’ve been looking for my own personal storage for awhile and this one allows me to change the hard drive with standard drive and the rechargeable battery is replaceable. There are a few things I would have like more but I have no complaints. One of my best purchases.

I used to have a PC tower for network storage, but it took up a lot of space. I stumbled across this little NAS and thought I would give it a try and I love it!! It is fast, looks sleek, and feels very durable. It is heavy, but not too heavy, in a good way. My favorite thing though is that it is very tiny/portable. Also really easy to insert a ssd. Highly recommended.

Can't believe how fast it was to install this unit, definitely a must have at home, the sync and pairing with devices is smooth, and it hosts up 8T. I was able to back up files in a short time ,very tempting to get the dock too!
