Foreword

When you're out and about with no mobile data left, you can still back up your data to PocketCloud—no internet needed, thanks to the direct connection mode. However, if you need to transfer data to the internet, a stable network connection is required. In such cases, public Wi-Fi at hotels, malls, and other venues becomes a great option—though these networks often require web-based authentication before granting internet access.

This guide walks you through how to connect PocketCloud to public networks that require authentication, helping you stay connected wherever you go.

How to Do?

Head to the PocketCloud login page and select "Configure Device". Choose your PocketCloud from the device list and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once your phone is connected to a public Wi-Fi network, open the PocketCloud app, select the same network, enter the password, and tap "Next".

"Network Authentication" prompt will appear in the app. Tap "Go to Authenticate" to be taken to the public Wi-Fi login page.

Complete the authentication process on the login page. After the web page redirects to a success screen, manually return to the app. The app will then display a "Authentication Successful" message, confirming that the public Wi-Fi is now fully connected. Your PocketCloud is now ready to go online.
