Product FAQs

How is PocketCloud different from traditional NAS?

Unlike bulky, wired NAS systems, PocketCloud is wireless, battery-powered, and plug-and-play. It doesn’t require technical setup, supports dual SSDs without RAID limitations, and keeps your data stored and encrypted locally.

Do I need a subscription to use PocketCloud?

No. PocketCloud is a one-time purchase with no subscription fees. You own your data.

Is my data safe with PocketCloud?

Yes. Your data is stored locally and encrypted using asymmetric encryption — even if the SSD is removed, no one can access your files without your password.

Can I back up from PocketCloud to the Dock automatically?

Yes. When connected, it supports full, selective, or automatic transfer — including one-to-many backup support.

Can multiple PocketClouds use the same Dock?

Yes. The Dock supports backup from multiple PocketCloud units and automatically recognizes them when connected.

Can I expand storage later?

Yes. PocketCloud uses two M.2 NVMe SSD slots that can be upgraded or swapped anytime — even with different sizes.
