Foreword

For those who love photography, especially outdoor shooting, you probably own a few cameras – whether it's a DSLR, a superzoom, or an action camera. The fun part is shooting, but the biggest fear afterward is losing your footage or forgetting to back it up.

As a great companion for outdoor photography backup, PocketCloud portable NAS storage has been working hard to support direct backups for mainstream cameras, making the process simple and worry-free.

Now, StationPC PocketCloud NAS supports direct backup for Insta360. No computer, no card reader – just connect your camera directly to PocketCloud and save your footage. It's especially convenient for outdoor and travel use.

How to do it?

Step 1: Connect the devices

Plug a USB-A-to-USB-C cable into the USB-A port on PocketCloud, then connect the other end to your Insta360 camera.

Step 2: Set the camera mode

On your Insta360 screen, select "U Disk Mode" (some models may automatically prompt you – just confirm).

Step 3: Start the backup

Method 1 (on PocketCloud screen):

On PocketCloud's small screen, find and enter "USB Drive Backup", then click "Backup".

Method 2 (via client):

Or just open the PocketCloud app and choose USB backup.

Done!

Just wait for the backup completion prompt. The whole process takes only a few seconds of connection – isn't that simple?

If you have other photography devices (such as DJI, GoPro, DSLRs, etc.) that you'd like PocketCloud to support for direct backup, feel free to leave a comment below. We'll keep improving to bring you an even easier backup experience.
