When someone sends you a file, how do you usually save it?
Most people download it manually and save it manually. Not only does that eat up local storage, but you also have to remember to do it—and if you forget, the file can expire before you know it.
So is there a way to save files in one step, with no manual work, and without using up local storage?
The answer: yes.
PocketCloud's File Collection feature solves exactly that. All you need to do is create a collection task and set where the files should be saved—the final destination path for everything collected. After that, files are automatically gathered into the designated location, no manual effort required.
So how does it work?
Step 1: Create a Collection Task
On the home page, tap Files, find [Collection], and tap the + icon in the top-right corner to create a collection task. Fill in the details based on your needs—task name, file save path, collection duration, and so on—then tap [Create].
Step 2: View the Collected Files
Once the task is created, find it in the task list and tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the task to view the files that have already been collected.
This feature isn't just for personal use—it's also extremely handy for collaborative work.
You can publish a collection task, set the file types and collection duration, and add task instructions. Once it's live, you can see at a glance who has uploaded their files and who hasn't—no more chasing people down or sorting things out by hand.
